Welcome to the Music Room

Welcome to our new section – Music for Life. Here at Tune In Not Out we are all about navigating life’s challenges – so we have heaps of videos, stories, factsheets and blogs from mental health to sexual health. This new section is all about music.

Music can reach out and touch us in many ways, from tunes that wake us up and get us going, music that calms us, channels our anger or boosts our energy. We asked you what songs you listen to and when, and heaps of you got online and told us. We have taken this info and developed Music for Life playlists.  Perhaps you can even pick up your guitar and join in, or tap out a rhythm on the desk with your pen or sing along. Enjoy.

“I like to listen to songs that interpret my feelings. If I’m mad, I’ll listen to an upbeat, loud song that tends to be about someone who is angry about something. If I’m sad I like to listen to classical music or even background songs from films (and sometimes I’m in the sad part of the movie) if I am happy I’ll listen to a fun song. When I jog I like to listen to some techno, or just music with a really good beat to jog too! ” Krystelle, WA
